This year’s Folk Art and Folklore Festival ‘Ričaj’ will be held from November 8 to November 10, 2019. The festival is dedicated to preserving the tradition and folk creativity of this region and gathers more and more participants every year. This year, the goal is to present as much as possible the natural and cultural values of Novi Becej and the region in a spirit of nurturing folk customs and traditions.
Thus, the first day of the festival is dedicated to folk tales and stories and the opening of an exhibition of handicrafts and embroidery. The second day is dedicated to learning old crafts through workshops and learning forgotten games, followed by a multicultural gala folk dance program. For the third day, it is planned to get acquainted with the cultural and historical goods of Novi Bečej, namely The house where Vladimir Glavas was born, the heritage museum and the medieval church of Araca.
